As an international student or traveler coming to live in Japan, you will need to register with the National Healthcare system in Japan. On the very basic level, the healthcare system will cover:
- 70% Coverage : You will be required to pay 30% of the expense for all injuries and illnesses.
- Exclusion :The national healthcare does include exclusions such as private medical treatment
- Costs : Fees vary for the healthcare, but typically run at ¥3,325 per month ($40/ month)

Food
- Sushi
Susuhi is one of the best known Japanese foods around the world. Sushi usually refers to a dish of pressed vinegared rice with a piece of raw fish or shellfish, called a neta, on top. Sushi is generally eaten with soy sauce and wasabi.

Sashimi is another must-try food. Similar to sushi buwt without the rice, sashimi is raw fish sliced into easy-to-eat pieces.
- Tempura
Tempura is a dish involving ingredients like seafood, meat and vegetables covered in batter and deep-fried in oil. The butter contain flour and egg.
