As a form of preparation for the third intervention which was held on February 26, 2021, we held two pre-project training by partnering with RedR Indonesia and The Unspoken Ministry.
PRE-PROJECT TRAINING #1 with RedR Indonesia
RedR Indonesia is a humanitarian agency engaged in inclusive emergency relief and disaster management. Together with them, we held our first pre-project training on February 8, 2021 with a duration of 120 minutes, consisting of three sessions with a main topic of inclusive basic disaster management and was attended by the organizing committee of DIAMOND.
The pre-project training started with an opening and pre-test session, followed by an Introduction to Disaster Management by Kak Wiwit as the first session and the second session was handed over to Kak Girindra about Disaster Preparedness. Being a humanitarian agency, RedR Indonesia also gave us a training regarding Principles of Humanity and by inviting Bu Kuni, we were exposed to the topic of Ethics of Interacting with the Diffable. There were also a sharing session through breakout rooms with four differently-abled individuals and the training ended with a post-test and a closing.
On a side note, we also invited TBMM Panacea FK-KMK UGM, short for Tim Bantuan Medis Mahasiswa, as a participant for the pre-project training.
PRE-PROJECT TRAINING #2 (DIANTER) with The Unspoken Ministry
Collaborating with SCOME CIMSA UGM’S ENCOUNTER, DIANTER (short for DIAMOND x ENCOUNTER) is the name of our second pre-project training by partnering with The Unspoken Ministry, non-profit organization for the Deaf community, with a topic of an Introduction to the Deaf Culture and was held on February 11, 2021.
