KUMBANG X KENYANG 2.0 – Pre Project Training: WEBINAR
March 28, 2021KENYANG – 2nd Intervention
March 28, 2021On Friday, 29th January 2021, HIBERNATION CIMSA UGM held its 1st mini intervention at Yayasan HAMBA.
Our 1st mini intervention raises a topic about PrimaKu application. PrimaKu is an application released by the Indonesian Pediatric Association (IDAI) on National Children’s Day, which is 23rd July 2018. PrimaKu aims to help parents monitor children’s growth and development. According to the Study of the Nutrition Status of Toddlers in Indonesia (SSGBI) 2019, 34 provinces in Indonesia show that the stunting rate in children under five is 27.67%.
From the data stated on previous paragraphs, we see the need and importance to educate parents about the necessity of monitoring children’s growth and development. Our journey of raising awareness starts here, at Yayasan HAMBA, short for Yayasan Sahabat Manusia Pembutuh Cinta. HAMBA Foundation has a motto which is “Satu pribadi lebih penting dari seluruh dunia” and a mission to “Melayani anak-anak yang tertolak oleh keluarga dan lingkungannya”.
The Masters of Ceremony (MCs) for our 1st mini intervention are Anisya Gabrieli P. D. and Hasna Nurul H. Organizing Committees of HIBERNASI explained the steps to use PrimaKu, starting from how to download the application until how to interpret the data given by the application.
The activity starts with a pre-test given to the parents of Yayasan HAMBA. Furthermore, ice breaking, which was led by Megan Dawarja and Queen Choirunisa, was done with interactive games. The parents of HAMBA Foundation participated cooperatively and actively in this ice-breaking session. After the materials were given by the Organizing Committees, we conducted a question and answer session. Finally, the post-test and photo session with all participants were done to wrap up our 1st mini intervention.
Through this intervention, other than the fact that the message about how to use PrimaKu application to monitor children’s growth and development were fully understood by the parents of HAMBA Foundation, their happy and smiling faces throughout the mini intervention were enough to prove us that they had a lot of fun.
